NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty NYPD traffic agent was arrested and charged with assault on Tuesday, the NYPD said Wednesday.

Ahammad Hossein, 53, was cuffed in Midtown Manhattan around 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday, police said.

The charge stemmed from a domestic incident, the NYPD said. The department didn't provide any additional details about the arrest.

Hossein's attorney information wasn't immediately available Wednesday.
