NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty NYPD school safety agent was arrested and charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child Monday night, police said Tuesday.
Valerie Collins, 55, was arrested in the Bronx around 8:40 p.m. on Monday, the NYPD said.
A police source told 1010 WINS Collins is the child in question's aunt, but could not provide any additional details about the incident.
Collins' attorney information wasn't immediately available on Tuesday.
