NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A plant thief has been targeting homes in an upscale Brooklyn neighborhood, according to a report.
The thief stole planters from at least two stoops on Willow Place in Brooklyn Heights on Friday, the New York Post reported.
The thefts have been happening for several months, the outlet reported.
“I woke up and all of the planters were gone,” one theft victim told the outlet.
A second victim, who lost years-old plants to the thief, told the outlet he felt “violated and victimized,” adding that it was “hard to rationalize why someone would do this.”
“They had lived here a long time,” he said of the plants that were stolen from outside his brownstone. “These were living things. They were part of the building.”
No one had been arrested in connection with the thefts as of Tuesday, the outlet reported.
