VIDEO & PICS: Dominican Day Parade 2021
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- This year's Dominican Day parade only stretched 9 blocks along Avenue of the Americas -- from 43rd Street to 52nd Street -- and had a smaller turn-out than years past, but the electric energy of the event was no different from any other year.
Lawmakers who attended the event included Brooklyn borough president Eric Adams, NYC public advocate Jumaane Williams, city council members Ydanis Rodriguez and Vanessa Gibson. Members of the FDNY and NYPD also walked in the parade.

"Some in-person spectators along the route but not as many as pre-pandemic," tweeted 1010 WINS reporter Samantha Liebman. "Many happy to celebrate in person, some who are vaccinated wearing masks, most not worried about."
