VIDEO: Group of teens attacks off-duty firefighter walking dog at Queens park

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Video reportedly shows a group of teens attacking an off-duty FDNY firefighter walking his dog at a park in Queens on Friday night.

The 44-year-old man was attacked at 75th Street and Juniper Boulevard North, near Juniper Valley Park, in Middle Village, police told the New York Post.

The unnamed victim, a father of three, told the outlet that he was walking his dog when, "They just picked me out and approached me."

He said there "were at least 100 kids" and that one of them taunted him, proclaiming, "It's fight night!" as other teens took out their phones.

"They all came at me," he said. "A kid came up behind me and hit me in the back of the head with a bottle and I let go of the dog."

Video on social media shows a group surrounding the man, who at one point falls to the pavement with his dog nearby.

PIX11 reported that the man was hit in the head with a bottle and suffered cuts to his head and lip in the attack around 9 p.m.

The man's dog was not hurt, according to the report.

No arrests have been reported in the attack.

Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa tweeted video of the attack Saturday afternoon, writing that "a mob of kids attacked a man" and that community members had reached out to him and the Guardian Angels for help.

Sliwa reportedly held a press conference with the victim on Saturday before the Guardian Angels were set to patrol the area.
