VIDEO: NYC Marathon runner carried across finish line after collapsing with just 200 feet left

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A New York City marathon runner who supposedly fell to the ground merely 200 meters left in the race Sunday was carried across the finish line by strangers, video shows.

The moving moment was shared on the viral Instagram account "Good News Movement," highlighting a group of fellow runners who provided support to a man as he appeared to struggle to finish the 26.2-mile race.

"HUMANITY: When a runner fell to the ground some 200 meters from the NYC Marathon finish line today, other runners lifted him up and carried him so he could finish 😭😭😭 One of my favorite videos of the year," the post read.

One man could be seen staying behind as two other men propped the runner up to make sure they could make it across.

The crowd erupted in cheers as they watched the heartwarming act of kindness.

Thousands participated in the 50th race around all five boroughs a year after the annual event was canceled due to the coronavirus.

Albert Korir won the pro men's division at 2:08:22, while Peres Jepchirchir won the pro women's race at 2:22:39. Both winners are from Kenya.
