VIDEO: NYPD officer dances on top of Brooklyn 7-Eleven counter for Tik Tok video

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- It's one thing when a Gen Z Tik Tok influencer posts a viral-friendly video -- it's another thing when a uniformed NYPD officer does the same. Especially when the officer in question shakes his moneymaker on the counter of a 7-Eleven near his Brooklyn stationhouse.

That's what officer Stephen "Big Steph" Barnes did, according to a video he posted to Tik Tok, which was subsequently posted on the Facebook page Loudlabs News NYC, according to The New York Post. It is unclear when Barnes posted the video.

The video also includes clips of Barnes dancing on the steps on a building, while rapper SpotemGottem's "Beat Box" plays in the background.

"The incident remains under internal review," an NYPD spokeswoman told 1010 WINS. "There is no change in the officer's assignment or duty status."

Sergeants Benevolent Association president Ed Mullins slammed Barnes, saying, "Men and women died wearing that uniform and I think we're belittling the position with these videos. I just came from a different place. The uniform meant something and you had a certain amount of pride in that patch. You're dancing in a uniform that has significant meaning globally."
