Westchester teen threatened to 'shoot up' Bronx hospital over COVID-19 protocols: report

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Westchester County teen who allegedly threatened to "shoot up" a Bronx hospital over its COVID-19 protocols has been arrested, according to a report.

Mount Vernon resident Christopher Mills, 18, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal trespassing and making terroristic threats on Wednesday, police sources told the New York Post.

Mills allegedly claimed he would "shoot up" Montefiore Medical Center in the Wakefield section of the Bronx after staff members at the hospital would not let him visit his grandmother — who had just passed away — due to COVID-19 restrictions, the outlet reported.

Police who arrested Mills found a "loaded pistol" in his vehicle, according to the outlet. His attorney information wasn't immediately available Thursday.
