Woman bites off healthcare worker's fingertip at Brooklyn hospital: NYPD
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Queens woman bit off the tip of a healthcare worker's finger inside a Brooklyn hospital on Monday, the NYPD said.
Trina McGee, 41, was arrested and charged with assault and menacing after she allegedly punched and bit the worker — who is also 41 — inside Kings County Hospital Center in East Flatbush around 11:15 p.m. on Monday, police said Wednesday.
The attack left the worker with serious injuries, the NYPD said. The New York Post reported that doctors "were unable to reattach the piece of the digit."
McGee was a patient at the hospital, and her victim is a behavioral health associate, the outlet reported, citing police sources.
McGee's attorney information wasn't immediately available Wednesday. The hospital didn't respond to the Post's request for comment on the incident.
