VIDEO: Woman injured after pushed onto tracks in front of oncoming train at Union Square subway station
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman was pushed onto subway tracks in the path of an oncoming train at the Union Square station on Thursday morning, police said.
A person shoved the woman off a 4/5/6 platform shortly before 9 a.m., according to police.
It's unclear if the woman was struck by the train. She was conscious and alert and was expected to survive after being taken to Bellevue Hospital, according to WABC.

Police said a suspect was "immediately taken into custody after a vicious and unprovoked assault."
Officials said riders should expect delays on the 4, 5 and 6 lines amid an investigation.
Police said the attack came hours after a 36-year-old man was punched in the face and pushed onto the tracks from a B/D platform at the 42nd Street–Bryant Park station around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The man suffered minor injuries to his knee and hands in that attack and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Police released surveillance images of the suspect. They said he was begging for money and attacked the victim when he refused to give him cash.
