World's largest menorah to go up in Brooklyn ahead of Hanukkah

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The world's largest menorah returns to Brooklyn on Tuesday ahead of Hanukkah.

The 36-foot tall menorah will go up on 5th Avenue near Grand Army Plaza.

The menorah will be lit on Thursday with a small, socially-distanced ceremony, marking the first night of Hanukkah .

There will be a lighting ceremony each of the eight nights of Hanukkah with the eighth and last night to held on Thursday, December 17.

The Guinness Book of World Records has been certified the menorah as the world's largest.
