NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York state's bars and restaurants will be allowed to stay open until midnight starting Monday, April 19, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday.
The state's current curfew requires eateries to close at 11 p.m, Cuomo noted in a teleconference with reporters Wednesday afternoon.
Catered events, meanwhile, will be allowed to continue until 1 a.m. — a change from the existing midnight curfew, the governor added.
Cuomo on Wednesday also announced that spectators will be allowed to attend auto and horse racing events — at 20% capacity — beginning Friday, April 23.
