Aaron Judge is known for his historic power that results in Statcast-breaking moonshots, but on Tuesday night, he used the ultimate wall scraper to extend the Yankees’ lead.
The perennial MVP candidate capitalized on the Yankee Stadium short porch for the shortest home run of his career, keeping his opposite field blast just inside the right field foul pole for a 326-foot shot, a two-run blast to make it a 5-0 game.
It was the 16th homer of the season for Judge and it raised his season batting average to .403 after he also picked up a single earlier in the game, a 5-2 win over the Rangers.
Judge’s previous shortest home run was in 2019 when he hit on 335 feet.
“We’ll take them all,” Judge said with a laugh. “They all count the same.”
