Jazz Chisholm came up well short in his Home Run Derby debut.
The Yankee infielder managed just three home runs in the first round of Monday’s event, falling well behind the rest of the pack, as every other batter managed at least 16 homers.
Chisholm’s longest home run was 453 feet.
Chisholm had been looking to become the fifth Yankee to win the event, and the first since Aaron Judge in 2017. Tino Martinez, Jason Giambi and Robinson Cano have also won while in pinstripes.
Chisholm has 17 home runs and an .861 on the season. This is his second All-Star selection.
