Thunder and PT want to celebrate Minnesota by sharing fun facts about the state with listeners on 102.9 The Wolf ... powered by Mr. Rooter Plumbing.

Today's Wolf Country Original is Charles Lindbergh!

Lindbergh was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1902, but he spent much of his childhood in Little Falls, Minnesota. His family moved to Little Falls when he was still young, and this is where he grew up. The Lindbergh family home in Little Falls is now a state historic site, and it attracts visitors interested in Lindbergh's early life.

Lindbergh gained worldwide fame for making the first non-stop solo transatlantic flight in 1927. He flew from New York to Paris in his plane, the Spirit of St. Louis. The flight not only made Lindbergh a national hero but also brought a lot of attention to the field of aviation. This achievement is often associated with the state of Minnesota, and Lindbergh's connection to the state is a source of pride.
