Chris Lane and his wife, Lauren, are expecting their first child any day now and we have no doubt they’re ready for parenthood by the way they recently saved a baby bird.

“Somehow a baby bird got into our covered patio, porch area back there and I let the dogs out… I didn’t know the bird was stuck inside,” Chris told Audacy’s Coop. “The dogs started chasing the bird.”
“Lauren realized what was happening and she is like, the bird lady off of 'Home Alone,' I’m not even joking. We have bird nests on both sides of our doggone door right now with baby birds,” he continued. “She’s like the bird whisperer.”
Well, lucky for baby bird, Lauren’s mother instincts are fully developed and prompted her to spring into action and save the day (and it’s life).
“Check out the new Netflix Doc, Saving Birds starring @laurenlane,” Chris jokingly captioned the video on Instagram. It’s one of the most dramatic episodes in saving birds history.”
Dramatic may be an understatement, Chris.
“She sounded like she was being brutally murdered,” he admitted. “Needless to say, the bird made it out alive.” Whew! Fly, birdie, fly!
Aside from saving birds with his wife, Chris has spent his time working on new music that he’s been excited to share with fans. “Fill Them Boots,” and “Summer Job Money,” are two of Lane’s newest releases that will add some new tempo to his setlist as he gets back on tour.
“I sat down over this last year and a half, two years and started trying to write as many tempo songs as possible,” Lane said after sharing he needed more tempo songs for his live sets. “I think I accomplished that.”
