Netflix is going behind-the-scenes of Sylvester Stallone’s legacy.
In November, the streaming giant will release “Sly” from director Thom Zimny. It will focus on Stallone’s storied career from Oscar nominations to appearing with his family in reality series “The Family Stallone” on Paramount+.
“Stallone’s career spans over 50 years, entertaining millions with such memorable blockbuster franchises as ‘Rocky,’ ‘Rambo,’ and ‘The Expendables.’ Directed by Thom Zimny ('The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash') with exclusive access to the man himself, ‘Sly’ is part retrospective and part Hollywood nostalgia,” reads a press release from Netflix.
Stallone recently discussed lengths he’s gone to stay in tip-top shape for his franchises. For “Rocky III” he kept his weight down to to 2.8% body fat.
To achieve this he’d drink 25 cups of coffee each day and eat just tuna fish. This caused memory issues as he said he couldn’t even remember his phone number.
“Sly” will hit Netflix Nov. 2023.
Stallone most recently appeared in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.”
