On the cusp of receiving the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 59th Annual CMA Awards, Vince Gill is grateful, inspired, and nowhere near done. "I'm just grateful for who it's named after," gushes Gill. "You know, Willie has been a friend of mine for 50 years, and he's a great inspiration. He's kind of the last one standing, you know, of all of my heroes, and he's still as creative today as he's ever been, and that's inspiring."

"I'm trying to be the same way. I've embarked on this journey of, gonna put one dozen EPs out over the next year, and, just excited to get to do it," says Vince of his massive creative undertaking, which has seen the artist record over 150 songs. "I think, more than anything is I'm realizing I don't have as much time left to be creative as I've had to this point. So it matters, it matters so much deeper now than it ever has."

"I'm having the the best time of my life. I think I'm in the best place in my life, personally, professionally, the way I play, the way I sing, the way I write songs, to me is better now than it's ever been. And so I still see the arc heading upward. You know, and that to me is what is motivational. Keep doing it. You're figuring out little by little how to get better. That's the point."
