Drew Baldridge has officially released his new album, 'FARM FAITH FAMILY,' and he recently joined us inside our Nashville studios to take us inside the emotional tracks, life raising two children, and hunting with Luke Bryan during his talk with Katie Neal.
'FARM FAITH FAMILY' is packed with personal, vulnerable moments like "Flowers On A Stone,” a song addressing men's mental health and suicide prevention, and "Maker's Mark," which explores leaving a meaningful personal legacy over chasing temporary success.
"Each word of these is kind of a mission in my life,” says Baldridge of the album title.
“I grew up on a farm. I love farmers, my brother still farms. I grew up there. Obviously faith is something that's always kept me, I grew up singing in church. I'm very vocal about my faith. And my family, we just talked about it for 15 minutes or however long of just my boys, but also I saw the family pillars like my grandpa and my grandma that were together for like 60 years and seeing that family dynamic and my mom and dad and very lucky to have a great family."
There’s also a lot of fun to be had with Baldridge, as he shared with Katie his look at life on the road, tattoo punishments for fantasy football, and cracking up every time tourmate Luke Bryan opens his mouth.
“When I was 16, he was my favorite artist, so to be able to tour with him is crazy,” Drew says about Bryan. “Just a couple weeks ago he invited me to dove hunt at his house and I got to go dove hunting with him and it is literally like hanging out with my childhood best friend.”
“He's such a small town kid and that reminds me so much of my buddies, the way we talk to each other, the way we act, the way we do stupid things, but it was like the coolest dove hunt I've ever been on in my life because it's just like being a redneck with a bunch of money, you know, like that's my favorite kind of people.”
