
One of Hip-Hop's hottest list just dropped as XXL Magazine unveiled their annual Freshman Class list spotlighting up and coming rappers and we couldn't wait to see who all made the cut this year.

“Narrowing down over 80 artists this year to 12, these talents have not only been the cream that has risen to the top, but serve as a representation of the current pulse of this year’s sound: inimitable, eclectic, vibe-y, nostalgic and damn good,” XXL wrote as they unveiled the list.
And without further ado, introducing these "new kids on the block," the 2023 XXL Freshman Class includes GloRilla, Finesse2Tymes, Lola Brooke, Rob49, Fridayy, 2Rare, SleazyWorld Go, Central Cee, Real Boston Richey, Luh Tyler, TiaCorine and DC the Don.
Brooke whose break out hit "Don't Play With It" landed her collabs with Latto and Yung Miami on the remix took to Instagram to share her excitement.
"718 princess made it to XXL Freshmen Class of 2023 !... Thank you sooo much @xxl," the Brooklyn native wrote.
GloRilla who first blew up with her hit, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” is nominated for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Best New Artist along with fellow classmate Lola Brooke, Video of the Year, and Best Collaboration for "Tomorrow 2" with Cardi B at this year's BET Awards.
Over the next month, XXL will be releasing freestyles, cyphers and interviews from each of the freshmen.
