"Sotheby’s is thrilled to present our third annual Hip-Hop sale, timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop. The sale spans art, fashion, sneakers, jewelry, photography, hand-written documents, historic studio equipment, important artifacts, and more, representing key moments from the late 1970s through the present, with the majority of the auction being consigned directly by the people who created the culture," the auction house said.
Commissioned in 1996, the ring was initially designed to recognize the rapper's engagement to Kidada Jones as the ring has "Pac & Dada 1996" inscribed on the inside.
The "Hit 'Em Up" rapper wore this ring during his last public appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards, three days later he was shot during a drive-by in Las Vegas and eventually passed away due to his injuries.
As listed on the Sotheby website, the crown shaped ring is expected to sell for at least $200,000 - $300,000.
