"Love's Train" is one of Silk Sonic's all-time favorite songs. So, it's only right that the R&B duo covered the 80s ballad. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak effortlessly put their spin on Con Funk Shun's 1982 single. Silk Sonic's rendition closely resembles the original, while showcasing a modernized R&B-Funk style. The OG love anthem spent 48 weeks on the Billboard charts, peaking at No.9 in May of 1983.
"Johnny P's Caddy"- Benny The Butcher ft. J.Cole
On his fourth installment of Tana Talk, Benny The Butcher joined forces with J.Cole. "Johnny P's Caddy" delivers back-to-back bars from the Griselda rapper, along with an impressive J. Cole verse. "Stretchin' the truth, know I never stress in the booth. They feel the pressure, me I feel like I just left the masseuse," J. Cole raps. Released last week, Tana Talk 4 also features Diddy and Griselda members Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine.
"Sorry Not Sorry" (Remix) Omeretta The Great ft. Latto
"Sorry Not Sorry" sparked an on-going social media debate about Atlanta and its surrounding cities. After the viral track dropped, Omeretta The Great tapped Latto for the remix, which balances out the rappers' personal views. "When Latto sent the verse back I couldn't even text no mo I had to call like girl wtf why u do that track like that," Omeretta tweeted earlier this month.
"Wait Too Long" Buddy ft. Blxst
Ahead of his sophomore album Superghetto, Buddy dropped a single with fellow LA native Blxst. Featuring Blxst on the hook, "Wait Too Long" is a smooth R&B-influenced track. Superghetto is slated to release March 25. The upcoming album is a follow up to Buddy's 2018 debut Harlan & Alondra.
"Wheelie"- Latto
Before announcing her forthcoming album 777, Latto began teasing the single "Wheelie" last month, and didn't reveal the single's featured artist until last week. On "Wheelie", Latto collaborated with fellow Atlanta rapper 21 Savage. The clear-cut track doesn't shy away from explicit lyrics, which is totally on brand for Latto.
"Killing Me" - Omar Apollo
Singing in both English and Spanish, Omar Apollo displays his feelings on "Killing Me". Apollo calls out to his partner to love him on the record. "What I do makes me wonder if I'm alright. Holding back feelings like it's the end of my life. That's right, you're killing me," Apollo sings. The moody single will appear on his sophomore album Ivory, which is set to arrive April 8.
"Petty Too" Lil Durk ft. Future
Fresh off his newly-released album 7220, Lil Durk teamed up with Future on "Petty Too." The rappers shamelessly admit to being petty at times, which is emphasized repeatedly throughout the chorus. The album title is named after Lil Durk's grandmother's address in his hometown Chicago. The 17-song project also features Gunna, Summer Walker, and Morgan Wallen.
