Brown expressed to US Weekly that his young children guessed he was the Crab, but he had to "throw them off," saying, "I’ve been telling them, ‘No, it’s not Daddy, Daddy is sitting right here. They thought I ran out and did it before dinner, so they are really confused right now, actually. It’s going to be so fun to watch."
Brown's clues hinted at the tragedies he's faced. The first clue package stated, "it’s been a struggle dealing with the darkness that has followed me and my family. We’ve endured so many twists, turns and traumas. But through the pain it’s the love of my family that gives me the strength to stand back up and be a star again. My song tonight is a tribute to that love and the family members that have gone before me."
Brown told E! News, "my [late] kids would be probably watching. They're probably enjoying the fact that I'm enjoying myself, and not sitting at home and being sad. I could see them appreciating the show and appreciating the time spent doing the show."
His performance of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" was one of this season's most emotional performances and drove judge, Nicole Scherzinger, to tears. He dedicated all three of his performances to his children and believes the Black Swan's "beautiful voice" has a strong shot at winning.
Mowry took to Instagram to explain what being the Seashell meant to her. The actress and former talk show host expressed, "gotta say singing and dancing with that shell on my head was quite the challenge. But I loved every minute of it! To live out this dream — Wow!!! What an amazing experience, and I must say one that I will never forget. To face fear in the face and get to the other side is something we should all experience. It produces growth."
The Sister, Sister star was even shocked she lasted so long. She continued, "...what a blessing. The love and support from everyone has kept me smiling all month long. I’ve held back singing for years to focus on acting, etc. I’ve learned not to hide that part of me any longer..."
For Season 5, we have the Black Swan, Yeti, Russian Dolls, Piglet, Robopine and Chameleon left. The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8pm ET on FOX.
