The Wisconsin Badgers won the Duke Mayo Bowl yesterday (Dec 30) - congrats on the win!
While they may be coming home with a win, they aren't coming home with the trophy....
First of all...can we agree that while we appreciate Duke's Mayonnaise sponsoring this event, the fact that nobody was subject to a dousing of mayo from a bowl is highly disappointing.... Nothing mayo related? No sandwiches? No pasta, egg, or potato salads? No dips or dressings? Missed marketing opportunity if you ask me. But I digress...
So here's what the trophy looked like BEFORE it met it's doom...
Shiny and sparkly! Well that thing is made of GLASS. So, don't drop it.
Then they moved the celebration from the field to the locker room...and this happened.
Way to go, Graham Mertz. Way to go. lol!
Congrats to the Badgers on their bowl win - but next time - maybe leave the trophy on the floor or a shelf instead, or in the loving hands of a gloved security person. ha!
