The 2021 awards season continues in full-swing.
The 27th annual SAG awards kicked off on Sunday, April 4 to honor the top performances in television and movies that kept us entertained in quarantine.
However, don't expect this show to drag on; the ceremony adopted a shortened format that's fast-paced and set to wrap up in an hour.
Still, the pre-taped show will set the scene and give insight into the upcoming Oscars. Nominations include "The Queen's Gambit," "Schitt's Creek," "Ted Lasso," "The Mandalorian" "Hamilton," "The Trial of the Chicago 7," "Judas and the Black Messiah," "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm," and more.
The broadcast includes some of the biggest names in Hollywood including: Sterling K. Brown, Viola Davis, Daveed Diggs, Ethan Hawke, Dan Levy and Jason Sudeikis. Other A-list talent who will pepper the broadcast include Lily Collins, Common, Ted Danson, Cynthia Erivo, Jimmy Fallon, Josh Gad, Mindy Kaling, Helen Mirren, Rita Moreno, Daisy Ridley and Mary Steenburgen.
