Fox Searchlight Films released, Notorious, in 2009 The biopic honoring the life of the late Notorious B.I.G. starred Jamal Woolard, Angela Basset, Anthony Mackie and more. Featuring Biggie songs and new music from JAY-Z, Jadakiss and Faith Evans, the film's soundtrack reached the top of the R&B and Rap charts.


EAZY-E

Ruthless Records released the posthumous album from Eazy-E. The second and final solo album of the Godfather of Gangsta Rap was released ten months following his tragic death at the age of thirty. The album went on to reach number one on the Hip-Hop and R&B charts, earning gold selling certification.

Too $hort

Too $hort released his sixth album with Jive Records, cocktails, in 1995. This certified platinum record reached number one on the R&B and Hip-Hop charts, featuring performances by 2PAC, Ant Banks and The Dangerous Crew.
