Hello. I'm Ashley O an emotional support human and mother of 2, divorced and an introverted extrovert. I love harry potter, backgammon, cross stitching, food, and live music … I know, I'm a mixed bag … also a native South Floridian – which is basically a unicorn (some days more like a stegosaurus).
This job I love has given me so many great opportunities. I've gotten to interview the most amazing bands …. Twenty One Piolets, The Killers, Weezer, Panic at the disco, Jimmy Eat world, The 1975 and even Cage the Elephant (P.S. found out we were related), BUT the best part is being connected to my community and getting to make a difference in my home town.
I started Ashley O's Food Fight with this microphone and Neighbors4Neighbors --- The Food Fight is a program that has paid off the outstanding student lunch debt in Broward County. The county I went to school in. Most counties have this debt, it prevents some students from getting a full nutritious lunch. The big picture is to make a program that ensures all children get full meals while in school regardless of what is going on at home (shameless plug here https://neighbors4neighbors.org/food-fight ).
My goals are to be a better human, remember that there is no fun in knowing everything and one day, I hope to have an open tab to anthropology.
