Traffic to the Fort Lauderdale beach can be a nightmare. Period. Well, here comes Elon Musk with his crazy ideas. His thoguht is to take Tesla tech and build two underground tunnels that travel below Las Olas all the way to A1A.
One to the beach and one back downtown that makes stops along the way, 5 bucks a ride.
Mayor Dean Trantalis just wants to stop the gridlock traffic and apparently its either two 45 million dollar tunnels from Elon Musk the space maker, or a bridge that's 445 million according to state transportation officials.
As a local can I just ask --- is it gonna be a glass tube tunnel? It'd be alot cooler if it was.
