Traveling during the holidays has its ups and downs, but finding a place to stay that keeps guests in the Christmas spirit tends to make the experience much more enjoyable. Now, a hotel in Michigan has taken things a step further, turning one of their rooms into a Christmas wonderland, inspired by the movie ‘Elf.’ The Royal Park Hotel in Michigan teamed up with Makers Mark to unveil their new ‘Buddy the Elf’ room for the holidays.
The 1,100-square-foot suite will be available for guests to rent through January 31, 2021. Inspired by the 2003 Christmas film starring Will Ferrell, the room features two Christmas trees, colorful lights, paper snowflakes hanging from the ceiling and a full-size cut-out of Ferrell dressed as Buddy the Elf. “Guests will receive a welcome amenity featuring a Maker’s Mark “Buddy’s Mailroom Cocktail kit, and a variety of Buddy’s Favorite food groups re imagined amenity,” the hotel said in a recent post.
Rates for the room start at $599 and 10% of proceeds will go to the Big Bright Light Show in downtown Rochester, a local community event. For any fan of the movie ‘Elf,’ this room may be the perfect Christmas getaway.
