It wasn't all fun and games for the Golden State Warriors on Monday night, seeing as they dropped their third game in their last four with a close 105-100 loss against the Spurs. It ended on a really bizarre note that had players like Steph Curry smiling, but not because he was happy. He was more likely confused, frustrated and everything in between.
Green called what he did the "smartest dumb play in history," if you're able to decipher that.
But another highlight that may have gotten lost in the shuffle is the focus here, even though it occurred in a moment that was nearly as crucial. Warriors down four. Around two minutes left to go. And Steph Curry on the line to make it a one-score possession. And Curry... pump fakes?
As "Saturday Night Live" motivational speaker Matt Foley might say, "I can't see too good, is that Chuck Hayes out there?"
But Curry finished the night 6-6 from the charity stripe, so I guess you can get away with a little bit of fun when you're a career 90.7 percent free throw shooter. How many career shooters have better accuracy from the line than Steph? No one (min. 2,000 attempts).
