As 4/20 celebrations return to San Francisco's Hippie Hill and other spots around the Bay Area, BART has a simple request for riders. Please don't hotbox the train cars.
Smoking is never allowed on BART and April 20th is no exception.
4/20 celebrations were called off in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, but have returned in full capacity since 2022.

For the Hippie Hill event, it's unclear what safety measures will be in place this year, but in 2017 the celebration became a city-sanctioned event with fences, security & an age restriction.
BART will also hold their final run of legacy trains & a retirement ceremony for the classic cars on April 20, 2024.
