Having spent her summer so far by going on tour with Taylor Swift and P!nk, writing a song for the Barbie movie soundtrack, and getting ready for her own headlining tour, GAYLE caught up with Audacy’s Bru to chat all about it and a whole lot more.

Discussing the differences between touring with P!nk and her “mom vibes” versus Taylor with her “sister vibes,” GAYLE also shared which crowd she felt more comfortable cursing in front of, and how beyond lucky she was to experience both.
GAYLE also shared that while she doesn’t have the upper arm strength to attempt P!nk performance trapeze, she’s been trying new things as of late, like pole dancing classes, and possibly sees herself incorporating that new skill into her show, but only once she gets good.
After geeking out over being on both the Eras Tour and Summer Carnival Tour, Gayle got into what she has coming up next, first of which a brand new song called “leave me for dead.”
“Originally the song was kind of about, another girl," Gayle explained. However, once the songwriter got her hands on the already created track, she switched things up to be more relatable to where she was in her life. “With me and my personal experience, like at the time, that I could relate to… it was less of you being with another girl, and more you being dissatisfied and bored. I’ve had some people that just get a little bored or get scared and just leave, which is fine. But if you’re gonna do that, don’t come back, you can’t have both. So I kinda changed the concept to — if you’re gonna leave, leave me for dead.”
As for that headlining tour she’s in the midst of planning, Gayle revealed, “my goal is for it to be chaos.” And she has plans to do so, from bringing back the FU box, to giving her bandmates mics so they can bully each other on stage (in a fun way though). To hear her explain, listen to the entire interview above.
