Kim Kardashian offers up a touching tribute in first post since Kanye West divorce news

Kim has been taking to Instagram to give us a glimpse into how she's processing her divorce

Since news of officially filing for divorce last Friday, Kim Kardashian has been taking to social media to share snippets of emotional and personal moments.

In her first Instagram post since the news about Kim and Kanye West splitting up broke, the reality star shared a heartfelt tribute to her father, Robert Kardashian for his birthday.

Alongside a throwback image of Robert with Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob she writes, “Happy Birthday Dad! I celebrate you every single day but today even more. So much to tell you! I called your cell phone number just wondering if anyone would pick up after all these years. I actually can’t believe I remembered it.”

Kim goes on to ask “Please come visit me in a dream soon.
Also can you pretty please send down a sign in the form of those symbols/birds we always talked about?!?! I just miss you sooooo much!”

This is not the first time Kim has been vulnerable on Instagram in days following her divorce announcement. Recently the business mogul shared a video of herself on her Instagram story where she is driving on the highway listening to Olivia Rodrigo’s heart-wrenching new single, “Drivers License.”

In the video Kardashian specifically plays the lyrics “And all my friends are tired of hearing how much I miss you, but / I kinda feel sorry for them / 'Cause they'll never know you the way that I do, yeah / Today I drove through the suburbs / And pictured I was driving home to you / And I know we weren't perfect / But I've never felt this way for no one, oh / And I just can't imagine how you could be so okay, now that I'm gone.”

Kim and Kanye have filed for divorce after nearly seven years of marriage. It’s been sited that both parties are in agreement over sharing joint legal and physical custody of their four children, North, 7, Chicago, 3, Saint, 5, and Psalm, who will be 2 in May.

Additionally, neither Kim nor Kanye have contested their prenup throughout the settlement process of the divorce.
