While her first two originally scheduled Hot Girl Summer Tour shows in Atlanta were canceled due to a water main break in the city, Megan Thee Stallion surprised Sunday night’s crowd with some special news to try and make up for it. Revealing to the fan-filled arena that her new album, titled MEGAN, is set to drop on June 28.

Obviously the crowd went crazy following Megan’s announcement, while the album’s artwork displayed behind the Houston Hottie, alongside a QR code that allowed the audience to pre-save the Hot Girl Productions album.
Leading up to the announcement, Megan has been slithering into her new era with snake-themed singles with “HISS,” “COBRA” and the Gwen Stefani-sampling “BOA.” However for the album’s cover art, the artist opted not for an animal that sheds its skin, but rather one that evolves.
Depicted as a beautiful butterfly, Megan is shown breaking out of her cocoon, having completed her metamorphosis. Perfectly tying in to how Meg previously explained how she looks at this new project, calling the album a “rebirth.” (It’s almost as if she perfectly planned it or something…)
While Megan felt generous offering up the album’s title and artwork, as of now, the tracklist is still a mystery, other than those three previously released serpentine songs of course.
