DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins have "parameters in place" on a trade to send DE Robert Quinn to Dallas, according to reports.

There are still minor issues to work out with Quinn's agent, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Quinn was drafted by the St. Louis Rams with the 14th pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

Quinn was traded in March 2018 by the LA Rams to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2018 fourth-round draft pick.

And we can say this: when Dallas Cowboys COO Stephen Jones recently said his Cowboys need to be 'super-creative' in fortifying the roster in a cap-friendly manner, trading for the DE from the Dolphins in a way in which Dallas doesn't have to pay for the full freight absolutely fits.

Whatever that #Saints silliness was, #Cowboys remain focused on DE Robert Quinn trade w #Dolphins .. it'll be a Tank supplement if all works out there - but Tank insurance if doesn't.
