DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The Dallas Cowboys are expected to franchise tag pass-rusher DeMarcus Lawrence Tuesday, the first day NFL teams can start placing a franchise tag on prospective free agents.
The Cowboys and Lawrence are also expected to negotiate a long-term deal before the March 5 deadline.
Lawrence played the 2018 season under the $17.1 million franchise tag. In 2019, Lawrence could be paid $20.5 million on the tag.
Lawrence made 10.5 sacks, 39 quarterback pressures in the 2018 season and earned a second trip to the Pro Bowl.
