DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - UPDATED 4:30 P.M.: Mike Fisher says Quinn's new contract with the Cowboys is a one-year deal with $8 million base salary.

The Dallas Cowboys agreed to a trade with the Miami Dolphins for defensive end Robert Quinn on Thursday.

In exchange for the veteran pass rusher, the Cowboys are trading a 2020 sixth-round pick to Miami. Quinn visited The Star in Frisco last Tuesday, but left without a deal.

Quinn was drafted 14 overall by the St. Louis Rams in the 2011 NFL Draft, and had 6.5 sacks and 38 tackles for the Dolphins last season.

Sources: The #Cowboys and Dolphins have parameters in place on a trade to send pass-rusher Robert Quinn to Dallas. There are still minor issues to work out with Quinn’s agent, but the #Cowboys are expected to land a big piece on the edge of their defense.
