ARLINGTON (105.3 THE FAN) - The XFL unveiled the names for all eight franchises on Wednesday, including the team based in Dallas-Fort Worth.

August 21, 2019 The DFW-based team will be called the Renegades, the league announced in a press conference.
The Renegades will play their home games at Globe Life Park in Arlington and will not move over to the brand new Globe Life Field.
Former Oklahoma Sooner coach Bob Stoops was officially named as the head coach and General Manager of the team earlier this year.
Stoops was the head coach at Oklahoma for 18 years before stepping away for successor Lincoln Riley.
At his time in Oklahoma, Stoops was 190-48 with 10 Big 12 Championships and 1 National Title. He was also a 2-time recipient of the Walter Camp Coach of the Year award and won AP Coach of the year once.
The league will have a draft in October and is set to begin play the week after Super Bowl 54. Games will be shown on ESPN and Fox.
