DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - In an interview with the Ben & Skin Show Friday afternoon, Dallas Cowboys former defensive tackle, David Irving said he and Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett have "always bumped heads."
Irving recently accused the coach of not being able to relate with players of color.
"I did not say that Jason Garrett was a racist, I have never said that before," Irving clarified Friday.
"I feel like he doesn't think I deserve to be where I'm at with the little effort I put in, to sum it all up. It's true, I don't do everything that I should, I'm not an overachiever," Irving said.
Irving said he thinks Garrett is socially awkwars and can't relate with certain backgrounds. Garrett is a good public speaker, but can't relate personally, according to Irving.
Irving also said he is not legally retired, and hasn't signed any paperwork. Irving discussed marijuana, medicine, family and money with Ben & Skin.
