DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The New York Giants have traded defensive end Olivier Vernon to the Cleveland Browns for right guard Kevin Zeitler, according to multiple reports.
The Giants will ship the No. 132 overall pick (fourth round) to Cleveland for the No. 155 overall pick (fifth round).
The trade can't be made official until the new league year begins on March 13.
Vernon was set to earn $15.25 million in base salary in 2019 and 2020. He signed a five-year, $85 million deal in 2016.
The 28-year-old had seven sacks in 2018.
