DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Just days after being released from the Dallas Cowboys, Allen Hurns has signed with the Miami Dolphins.
Hurns will make up to $3 million with the Dolphins on the one-year deal, according to reports.
By cutting Hurns, the Cowboys will save $5 million and have plenty of receivers on the roster including Amari Cooper, Randall Cobb, Michael Gallup, Tavon Austin and Noah Brown.
Hurns had 21 catches for 309 yards with two touchdowns in 2018.
Jalen Guyton, Cedrick Wilson, Devin Smith, Lance Lenoir Jr., Jon'Vea Johnson, and Reggie Davis make up the rest of the receivers on the Cowboys roster heading into camp this week.
Hurns' season ended after he suffered a gruesome ankle injury in the wild-card win over Seattle. He quickly underwent surgery and told the NFL Network in an interview shortly after the game that he'll "be good to go to start the 2019 season."
