DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - One of the best broadcasters in sports took his opportunity to shower praise upon Dirk Nowitzki ahead of what could possibly be his final home game Tuesday night at the American Airlines Center.
During his appearance on the GBAG Nation on 105.3 The Fan today, TNT basketball play by play man, Kevin Harlan, was asked about his thoughts on covering Nowitzki over the last 21 years.
"Honored. Every bit as impactful and meaningful as covering Jordan, as I did from the time he was a rookie in '84, to Kobe when he broke into the league as a player in high school, to Kevin Garnett, watching Tim Duncan every year of his career as an announcer for TNT. ... I put Dirk Nowitzki, his championship run, the greatness they had year in and year out in the regular season, the way the ownership and city have embraced him, his MVP season. ... He to me, has been every bit as impactful as Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, Shaq, Dr. J., and Tim Duncan."
