DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Miami Dolphins have sent Ryan Tannehill and a 2019 6th round pick to the Tennessee Titans for a 2020 4th round and a 2019 7th round pick.

Adam Schefter is reporting that Tannehill will restructure his contract as a part of the deal:

According to Schefter, Tannehill's contract is a one-year deal with $7 million guaranteed and another $12 million with playing time and other incentives.

Tannehill was drafted with the 8th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Dolphins and signed a 4-year $77 Million contract with Miami in 2017.

He has a 42-46 record in 88 games of his NFL career with 123 touchdowns, 75 interceptions, and a 62.8% completion percentage.

It appears Tannehill will take over the back-up role in Tennessee. A position held by Blaine Gabbert last season.

The trade leaves only two quarterbacks on the Dolphins' roster, Jake Rudock and Luke Falk.
