DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - In the 7th pick overall, the Cincinnati Reds selected left handed pitcher Nick Lodolo, from Texas Christian University.
From California, Lodolo is the highest draft pick in program history.
Lodolo was named All-Big 12 First Team and entered the draft as the top pitching prospect. In 16 starts this year with the Horned Frogs, Lodolo pitched to a 2.36 ERA with 131 strikeouts over 103 innings. Lodolo held opponents to a .203 batting average.
