DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - On the last night that Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki would play in front of a home crowd, several NBA greats showed up to honor the big German.

After the Mavs win over the Phoenix Suns, owner Mark Cuban kicked off a celebration fit for a legend.

As the entire crowd stood, a tribute video to Dirk played on the arena's big screen showing him talking about the NBA legends that he looked up to.

As the video played, five shadowy figures walked out onto the dark court and stood at the center. As the video ended and the lights went up, there stood the men that Dirk was praising: Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, Larry Bird, Shawn Kemp, and Detlef Schrempf.

Each man took the microphone and gave praise to Dirk and his lifelong career as a Dallas Maverick, NBA All-Star, and MVP.
