Amari Cooper Preparing Like He'll Play Sunday vs Eagles

FRISCO (105.3 The Fan) - Good news continues to come out of The Star in Frisco Thursday where the Cowboys hosted the second of three practices ahead of their critical matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Wide receiver Amari Cooper, however, didn't participate in any form of fashion this morning, but that didn't keep him from expressing his optimism about playing Sunday night.

“I don’t look at it like, ‘Oh, I’m going to rest this week and then have the bye week so I can have two weeks to get ready for whatever game is after that,’” Cooper said to the media after practice, including 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher. "I always approach game week like I’m going to play.

Cooper, who has been dealing with a quadriceps injury that knocked him out of last week's loss to the New York Jets, would bring a much-needed boost to the Cowboys offense who may be missing several key players.

Fish reported earlier Thursday that there wasn't much hope for him to play but it seems the wide receiver will try and give it a go.

"This week is better than last week,'' he said. "I am preparing like I am going to play. ... I plan on practicing tomorrow and see what I can do."

If he can get in at least a limited practice on Friday then he'll have a real shot at playing against the Eagles.
