DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys will have a familiar voice in the press box for their Week 4 matchup with the New Orleans Saints ... but it won't be Brad Sham's.
The Dallas Cowboys have announced that Sham will miss his third game in his 41 seasons with the franchise.
Sham will be celebrating the first night of the Jewish New Year on September 29.
Taking his place will be Ted Emrich, the son of former legendary 1080 KRLD sportscaster Roger Emrich.
Roger Emrich, a member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, passed away at the age of 62 in April.
Roger was also the voice of AT&T Stadium, and known as "The Raj Majal" to friends, colleagues, and fans alike.
Here's a little bit about Ted:
Emrich is a play-by-play announcer for ESPN. He has called college and high school basketball games for the network since 2015. Ted also handles play-by-play for Westwood One Radio's coverage of college football and college basketball and has contributed to the network's coverage of the Masters and the Olympics from London, Sochi, and Rio.
Ted was previously a host and anchor for ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM and spent eight seasons as the studio anchor for University of Texas football and men's basketball on the Longhorn IMG Radio Network.
Ted is a proud graduate of the University of North Texas.
