— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) January 12, 2020Stefanski led a Vikings offense that, behind star running back Dalvin Cook, was one of the top rushing offenses in the NFL, ranking sixth in the league with 133.3 yards per game. The Vikings had the 16th overall offense in terms of yards per game this season.
Under Stefanski, Cook also had the best year of his career, rushing for 1,135 yards and 13 touchdowns in 14 games, and averaging 4.5 yards per attempt.
The former offensive coordinator will inherit an offense that was plagued by mistakes and inconsistencies last season but has plenty of talent behind it, most notably quarterback Baker Mayfield, running back Nick Chubb, and wide receivers Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr.
Before selecting Stefanski, other candidates for the Browns job included San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator, Robert Saleh, Eagles defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz, and New England Patriots offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels.
