The Cowboys traded for Bennett on Thursday, sending a seventh round pick to the Patriots in exchange for the versitile veteran defensive lineman.

Hamilton was picked up by Dallas on October 17th in the wake of Tyrone Crawford's move to injured reserved but did not enter the game against the Eagles this past Sunday.

Heading into the bye week, the Cowboys will have over a week to get Bennett up to speed on the defensive scheme, before he takes the field against the Giants on November 4th.

The 33-year-old has 65.5 sacks, 244 solo tackles, 13 forced fumbles, and 182 QB hits in 147 career games, and has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times throughout his 11-year career.
