FRISCO (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys have always had the same policy when it comes to the national anthem, each player and staff member will stand toe on the line from start to finish.

October 29, 2019 The topic has died down around these parts but came back into focus after the team acquired defensive lineman Michael Bennett in a trade with the New England Patriots last week. Bennett, one of the most outspoken players in the NFL, remained in the locker room while playing with Philadelphia and did so for at least the preseason in New England. It's not clear if he continued to remain in the locker room during the regular season.
Regardless, the Cowboys have a hardline stance with this issue and fully expect Bennett to fall in line.
"We don’t anticipate that being an issue. We’re excited to have him here. ... We anticipate him doing what all of our players do,” head coach Jason Garrett said Tuesday.
Owner Jerry Jones was also asked about the anthem expectations for Bennett during his bi-weekly appearance with 105.3 The Fan.
"We’ve got a player who knows how we do it here with the Cowboys," Jones said on Shan and RJ.
Bennett is expected to meet with the media after practice and will surely be asked about his stance.
This is a developing news story.
